Would you like to work with a nationally recognised and market leading mobile plant attachment brand that supplies front end attachments for market leading heavy plant manufacturers such as Volvo, Cat, JCB etc.?

If so, we have an expanding depot and field-based vacancy which will require proactive undertaking of the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of client equipment nationwide on a wide range of mobile plant attachments fitted to Wheel Loaders, Tractors, Telehandlers and other plant machinery.

Based nationwide you will be responsible for effectively and competently carrying out diagnostics, services and repairs of Ulrich branded attachments whilst upholding first class service to both OEM’s, dealers and their clients. You will actively seek revenue opportunities and be comfortable in discussing these with customers and presenting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • To service and repair Ulrich Attachments Ltd nationwide in the field and in the factory at Hull.
  • To identify mechanical and hydraulic problems using technical knowledge, offering guidance and advice to the clients.
  • To carry out all work in line with warranty guidelines or quotations and time guides, highlighting to clients and management where additional work may be required.
  • Accurate completion of diagnosis reports of failures and work carried out for warranty review.
  • To identify and obtain parts for your work as necessary and return any warrantable parts in clean condition for return to supplier.
  • To carry out duties in a commercially focused way, seeking additional revenue through parts and service opportunities.

Essential Skills:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant and their attachments.
  • Proven experience in fabrication and welding of heavy plate.
  • Proven experience of Welding MMA & MIG.
  • Proven Safe working knowledge on sites such as waste sites, quarries etc.
  • Proven experience in ability to diagnose and analyse faults
  • Computer literate

Desirable Skills:

  • NPORS Card
  • Quarry Passport or similar.

We are seeking an experienced Aftersales Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the aftersales process, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales through effective management and communication. This role requires a strong understanding of sales management, organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele.

Duties

  • Manage the aftersales team to ensure exceptional customer service and support.
  • Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional products and services.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights gathered.
  • Utilise software tools to track sales performance and customer interactions.
  • Train and mentor team members in phone etiquette and effective sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from purchase through aftersales support.

Requirements

  • Experience within the construction and plant machinery sector.
  • Proven experience in sales management or a similar role within an aftersales environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications for tracking sales and customer interactions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Full UK Driving License
